I am a newbie to Drupal. I downloaded a free template from the internet and successfully converted it into a Drupal theme, front page is looking perfect but when I go into admin section, it looks completely unaligned.
Can any one please guide me on what could be the reason and how to rectify the mistake?
There is one more problem, I have installed the YUI editor for the content, with other themes the new editor and its various options are displayed but in case of my theme, YUI editor just vanishes. Can any body suggest how to get it right?

It sounds like you are working on a self hosted Drupal site and not Drupal Gardens. Is that correct?
