For some reason, the views on the home page of www.wherewegonow.com no longer show a pager (set for Full | 10 items).
I tried to edit the view from the Views menu but it hangs until I get a "script has stopped working" notice.
I noticed that prior to hanging, in the lower left of the screen, in between saying it was waiting for www.wherewegonow and views for wherewegonow, two unexpected urls also appeared:
- s.ytimg.com
- s7.addthis.com
I've read enough to know that ytimg is used by YouTube and of course, addthis is for the addthis functionality. However, these two sites do not appear when I am loading a view at www.planoandsimple.com, where the views open quickly and without a problem.
Can anyone tell me what's going on?
Thanks,
Linda
P.S. All three enabled views at wherewegonow.com are based on blog posts, which feature videos fairly often, FWIW. I have just created a new view and will see when/ if it breaks down as I try to create a new blog view following documentation instructions.
P.P.S. I find that if I click on "edit view" from the page (e.g., "blog archive" page), I can open and edit the view.
http://www.wherewegonow.com/blog-by-date (I created this view following the tutorial in your documentation)
However, when I try going to edit one of the other views within that view (a block in this case), I get the following error message, which I've never seen before:
"The website that you're trying to reach is having technical difficulties and is currently unavailable.
We are aware of the issue and are working hard to fix it. Thank you for your patience."
Since the url at this point is:
http://www.wherewegonow.com/admin/structure/views/view/blog_date_browser...
I don't think there's anyone working hard to fix it, i.e., it doesn't look like something that gets back to DG tech support.

Hi Linda,
I accessed your site, but it appears you're in the middle of editing the view on the home page which creates a permissions lock so that others may not edit at the same time.
Would it be okay if I break this lock in order to take a look at your View's settings? I always like to ask since breaking the lock might result in losing any unsaved changes you have made.
Thanks very much.

Stacy,
Thanks for responding so promptly. I had logged out of the site so not sure why it thinks I'm editing the home page view. Possibly because it hung up again?
I've logged back in, opened the view and closed it again and then logged out from that site. If that didn't do the trick, you are by all means welcome to break the lock.
Best regards,
Linda

Hi Linda
I have verified these issues on your site, and have created a bug report that we're tracking internally at DG-2856. This report includes your comments above and screenshots that I've taken of error messages received when trying to edit or access the Views.
Just so you know, and it may be a coincidence, but a small subset of users' sites have had performance impacted by an overloaded database on tangle004 which is where http://www.wherewegonow.com resides.
The data on the site is safe; however, performance may be affected as described in the most recent Important Announcements post dated this past Friday and updated today.
We'll post back here when we have a status update for the bug report, and please be sure to check in on the Important Announcements forum for the latest news on this particular performance issue as well.
Thanks very much.

Thanks. My client is starting to get traction on her site so it's a critical time as far as engaging people on the site. I'll do some workarounds for the time being, but am looking forward to your update!

Hi Linda,
I've heard back from our engineers on the above bug issue for your site, and it appears that the pager issue is caused because the blog nodes are overwriting the Views' pagers, possibly due to the comments.
The solution suggested by the engineers is for you to go into the Views for your home page and set the pager ID to 11 as illustrated in this screenshot.

This should do the trick! Please let us know how this works for you.
