Hi,
I am trying to upload a few images into the gallery.
http://playgroundentertainment.drupalgardens.com/content/characters
The Error The website encountered an unexpected error. Please try again later appears either right away or sometimes it lets me upload a couple of images before this error appears. This is something I ran into berfore. Does this error show up because I am doing something wrong or something on the back end?
thanks Benno

Hi,
I just tried again and it let me do 2 before the error comes. I hope this helps trouble shooting.
thanks Benno

Benno, I was able to upload 4 small files and 4 large files without an error with Chrome.

Hi Jesse,
I am using Firefox/3.6.16 on a MAC OS X 10.6.7
I try Chrome next time I run into the same problem.
thanks Benno

Hi,
I have the same problem. When I upload one picture it works, but more than one gives the unexpected error message. I used bothe Chromium and Firefox on Ubuntu. My website is www.tribodar.com.
I already had problems uploading with chrome on Windows, but then it would just not start uploading. Now it uploads, but at the end, in stead of returning to the gallery, it gives this error.
I hope there will be a good solution for bulk uploads soon.
Thanks,
Michael

I get a slight variation on the same error - the file upload progresses, but on completion the following error message (with a different filename each time) appears: "The specified file temporary://p15vvv5njv1fbpkne1ud4102s9r73.tmp could not be copied, because no file by that name exists. Please check that you supplied the correct filename." I have tried several browsers and they all do it. I look forward to hearing what the problem and solution are!

Hi all,
Have you noticed this behavior happens more often if you attempt to upload a file with the same name as one already on your site?

This might be so... we use generic names while uploading.

Hi psichael,
If you could quickly test the uploading of duplicate file names on your site, that would be helpful in diagnosing this. Thanks.
