Hello,
still fairly new to Drupal Gardens and wondering, is there a way to enable usage of Google Maps API? Quickly trying out a drupalgardens page with smth as simple as described at http://goo.gl/gdwfF does not seem to work, so thought I'd ask here.
Any advice will be appreciated. Kind Regards, Arnold

What do you want to do with it? I'm curious as someone who only ever uses an embeded google map. thanks

e.g. looking for a reasonable way to use the fusion tables layer, for quick example see: http://goo.gl/X0kG4

Moving the question to the problems category -- as still have not found a solution yet, and given the API is pretty much all JavaScript assume that should be possible somehow.
Would be so great to receive an insight on that from the Drupal Gardens team.

I see what you mean there. Thank you. Interesting, I'll be thinking about it's application. Sorry I cannot help on that one.

That is an interesting tool yes, and there seem to be quite a few apps using it already (http://goo.gl/25FNA).
The question remains, how to use the JavaScript API with Drupal Gardens -- hope someone from the DG team will shed some light...

Hi icasualtours,
Here's our documentation for using JavaScript Libraries on your site.
Since we do not currently support the Google Maps API, you will need to create a RAW Text format so that you can embed the JS code into your HTML tab of the WYSIWYG editor.
Just remember to go to Admin > Modules, and enable JavaScript Libraries first.
Adding support for some sort of geo-mapping functionality ranks high on our roadmap of suggested features. I've gone ahead and added your vote for that feature that we're tracking internally at DG-2650.
Hope that helps!
