How To Create Pages For Anonymous Users Only - so someone that has not logged in only sees these pages. And also how to create a menu for Anonymous Users Only. Same for users who have logged in - how to create a menu and pages that only they see? And last how to create pages that can be seen by both anonymous users and authenticated users?

1. All site content is seen regardless of registration status?? 2. All users must register to read all site content?? (not good) #1 is okay in the short term, #2 should not be required, I do understand CB's reply too. Is leaving something in a draft/unpublished state a limited/kludgy workaround to the roles/permissions issue, at least for just a few users?? Is it even possible to declare something as 'draft' or 'unpublished' and therefore not 'live' for the world to see?? Thank you, Tom

Unpublished content can be viewed by admins, and not Anonymous users. You could also not give the 'View published content' permission to Anonymous users if you wanted, but it would effect all content.

This could be mentioned in the documentation or changelog to use this method until roles/permissions are better implemented. R/P are becoming more important to many people and sites. Thank you, Tom

I'm going to be working on setting up a CRM for my home business, probably over the summer. The site will also serve as an integrated meeting place / news source for my customers. I don't want my users to accidentally stumble upon Lead Information. While I will not be collecting and data un-necessary for business, accidentally finding your own information while surfing a site can be a little surprising and unsettling. I want to make sure that I have the permissions settings to be able to restrict the view so that I'm the only person who can see my leads / customers. jsl

There has been conversation within the team recently, and some debate about the best approach. Sadly, I can't give you a timeframe as there's no estimate currently for the date of this feature. I've added your question to the issue tracker... and I think that will help the team prioritize. Thanks for giving it your vote too.

Any news on this ticket (AN-12634) ?

I can't seem to find the actual tracker anywhere on this site.

I'm likewise desperately in want of something more fine-grained access control than the current.

Hello,

I've added your comment to this post. It is on the roadmap, and has drummed up much discussion in the engineering team, I know they are working on a plan for this.

Those are just internal tracking numbers to help us search through related posts.

Currently the backlog isn't open/public.

Hi there,

For Professional plans and higher, you can now have fine-grained access control for forum topics in Drupal Gardens!

As of our latest service update on March 12th, you can define access control rules describing which users (by role) can view, edit, or delete a forum topic. Role indicators can also be applied to forum topics to highlight which topics are restricted.

For more information on the latest Gardens feature enhancements, check out our recent 'What's New' release announcement.

Thanks!

Best regards,

Stacy Wray | Drupal Gardens Client Advisor
