Hallo,

I created a media gallery with the gallery content type.

http://benno.drupalgardens.com/media-gallery/detail/51/41

When I go to this link and then click Previous image and keep going through this gallery. Sometimes the images are small and some times big. It seams really random depending on what browser I use. Even in the same browser sometimes big sometimes small. So far I have not been able to find the reason for big or small. I like them to show up big all the time rather then small. Here is another site with the same problem.

http://christianecharvet.drupalgardens.com/media-gallery/detail/81/701

Looking through this gallery in safary it seams that the first time you view the image it is small and then when you go back it comes in big. The other two browsers are more random.

Do you have an idea what to do so the images show up large all the time?

Thanks Benno

Just wanted to share of what I found.

In the Gallery page

If you select "Show media on a full page " then the images will show at full size.

If you select "Show media in a lightbox" then if you click on any lightbox image the images will show sometimes small and sometimes large. Depending on the browser you use. Also is you cut and past the URL it will show small or large. Sort of ramdom.

When you turn off the lightbox option it will show large all the time. Even if you cust and past the URL

Sounds like a bug to me. I was wondering if other people have a simular experience.

Thanks Benno

I tought I had this issue resolved but it still shows the images small when I go through the gallery the first time. When I go through it the second time the images show the right size.

How can I set it up so the images show large the first time?

If anybody has some feedback on this I am greatful. Kinda stuck here.

thanks Benno

I tried it in different themes and looked at it with different browsers and the results are always the same.

For the first time you click through the image pages the images are small and then when I click through it again they sow up the regular size.

Is this a bug or can I change a setting some where to make them show up large the first time?

Thanks Benno

I turned off all the caching and now it works with firefox. Crome and Safari still show a small thumbnail first and then the second time you look at it it comes in at full size.

Anyways Looks like I am just talking to myself here on the forum. Let me see if I can get any feedback elsewhere.

Hi benno,

Looks like your forum post got a little buried here. I've flagged this so we can do some testing.

Are both your sites having the issue in draft mode or are they live sites? e.g., can we take a look at what's going on if it means we reconfigure some settings or upload an image or two we can delete after?

Thanks.

Hi Jeannie,

Thanks for getting back to me on this gallery issue. We would like to go to the gallery images directly.

My client is using safari and when she goes to any of the galleies this way for the first time the images are only thumbnail size. Once you view a picture again you then see it the full size. I was hoping I can show it full size the first time. If you need to upload and delete pictures that is not a problem. It is a live site. Please don't delete any images we have on there.

Thanks Benno

Hi Benno,

This appears to be a problem some other people are having, so we will be tracking this internally as DG-633 and follow up when we have more information to share.

Thanks for the report.

Hi sculptures-johannes,

Unfortunately, I don't have an ETA to report on how the progress is coming along. It's definitely a high-priority issue that our Engineering Team is investigating.

Could you provide the URL to your site so that I can add your information to the report that we're tracking, and I can go in and take a look as well?

Thanks!

Hi Stacy,

Thanks for getting back to me. This was something I was working on back in September. In the meantime we figgured out some work around. We can close this ticket if you like.

Thanks Benno

thanks for the quick follow-up. The site is www.sculptures-johannes.com, on the gallery-page you see a list of all galleries, each work of art is a gallery. The images should link to the full-sized image. I didn't managed it to show the image in lightbox eather.

Eli

Hi Eli,

Thanks for this information.

I have added your experience to the bug report for DG-633, as well as to the report for DG-2840 with regard to the full-size gallery images not opening in a lightbox.

When there's any kind of status change for these issues we're tracking, we'll post back here within this thread.

Thanks!

Hi Eli,

Our engineers are working on a fix for bug DG-2840 referenced above, and the fix will be released by the end of the current routine maintenance period wrapping up later this week.
