Is there the possibility of sending the results of the webforms via email like contact form? This would allow us use webforms as contact forms expanding some fields . Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback! This isn't supported yet but is on our list to do. We are tracking it internally as #AN-21131

Thanks for letting us know! I would like to have that functionality as well!

Any estimates on when this function may be available?

We are finalizing our next sprint's priorities over the next few days - will let you know.

Thanks. I think this is critical as clients need to know when they get bites from users.
So as I understand it. The data goes to database but there's no way to make a setting auto notify when someone has submitted data. ?
Kudos to the webform team. They are beautiful and usable. This last step would be very welcomed!

We plan on offering this feature in March. We will try to do it sooner, but we can't promise that.

Great news, Chris! In the meantime, is there a way to set a trigger in webforms so that when a user submits a form, a notification email can be sent to a specific email address informing them that a new form has been submitted?
Thanks!

There is not any way to do so that I know of until we add the feature.

Friends, using the webform module...
you need to add an Email field (textfield will not work) under Form Components and make the default value: %useremail. make the field mandatory because we need to have a value to send email to.
then click over to the email tab... and select the field name you created for %useremail

Hi ravenite,
Thanks for the suggestion. This is a good technique for a self-hosted Drupal 6 site.
Webform emails on Drupal Gardens sites are a high priority for us and we're looking to release them as soon as we can streamline the user experience.

The latest upgrades are great. I particularly appreciate the email notification improvement in webforms, but . . .
I am working on a site for an organization that would like to have forms for people to submit things like service requests. So the forms need to be available to the staff in a timely fashion. The notification is nice, but I think they are still going to want the actual form results to be emailed to them, so that they can respond promptly on mobile devices, etc.
Sorry!
1:03pm
We are tracking that in the future - in the interim you may consider including a URL to the webform results page that they can click to see the results.

I agree with Diggeo but having the URL sent is a plus to use webforms.
Chris, thank you for notifications. So are you saying that in the email notification, a URL to the data could be included?
For instance, the Green Cocoon guys are on the road mostly we they get the notices but are on Blackberrys and can go to website to see data

I took a quick look at this form via admin, and don't see option for including URL. Can you tell us more Chris?
Thanks for the hard work, very excited about theme updates too.

Yes Susan. You can use your browser to naviagate to the results page of your webform, copy the URL to the clipboard and paste it into the body of the email notification's body field.

awesome Chris, thanks!
It says:
When creating or editing a webform, at the bottom select Form settings. Then select the "Send a confirmation e-mail" checkbox and complete the e-mail's address, subject, and body.

Do we have merge fields available in the confirmation email? One of my sites has a membership application form and I need to add a few fields of the form into the body of the email (like name and email) so that we know who applied and be able to find it in the form results page.
Thanks!
5:00am
Hi enrique.delgado,
There are no merge fields available at this time for your confirmation email but your completed fields in the user's form would appear in the form results page including the downloadable file.

Thanks for your reply Jeannie. Are there any plans to have merge fields in the future? I think that would be a desireable feature for most folks.

Hi enrique.delgado,
We are working towards implementing this feature. It is being tracked internally as AN-21131 and I have added your "vote" there.
Thank you for your input!

I would like to add that it would be highly appreciated if we could have the form data sent via email to the notify email address so that the site owner does not have to login to the site to retrive form data.

Please add my vote to form content to be sent by email.
Thanks

I also want to request the option to send form results within the notification email.
Thanks for providing DG for us. Keep it up.

Hi,
Any progress on this? I'm working with a client right now that would really like to be able to email webform submission results to people that don't and won't have access to the site.
Thanks!

Hello,
to the keepers of the AN-21131 flame...
We would also find it pretty darn useful to have the results of the form be available for sharing right within the notification email, rather than a few steps away in a results view or downloadable file.
Please add this feature.
thanks!

We certainly will add this feature - sorry it is taking so long, but we have some other features that we need to get done before it.

Thanks,

Still a priority for us, but items like CDN (performance) and a few others are ahead of it.

I am also very interested in the ability to have webform results sent in an e-mail. This would be key for a couple of clients... keep me posted. Thanks, Kathryn

Yes, please make this feature a priority. It is very important.

Please add my vote to having webform results sent in the email.
4:18pm
Hi there,
As of our latest Drupal Gardens service update, site builders now have the ability to add certain tokens to the webforms confirmation email.
With tokens, you can configure an email to display information on who submitted the form and their form values, so you don't have to log in to Drupal Gardens to view the form results.
Note: Currently only %email_value and %submission_url are supported.
To learn more, please see our documentation on Adding tokens to a confirmation email.
Thanks!
Best regards,
