The Drupal Gardens sites submitted for our recent contest were fantastic and it was really hard to pick just one winner. The site designs were judged on their creativity, attractiveness, and complexity. The winner is Susan MacPhee who built Ipswich Ale Brewery, the website for a New England craft brewer. Congratulations Susan - enjoy your new iPad!
Here's why Susan and the Ipswich Ale Brewery crew picked Drupal Gardens:
"We decided that Drupal Gardens fit our needs the best since all the functionality we needed was in a hosted service and we did not have to bother with code updates and security patches. In addition, the team chose Drupal Gardens since it was Drupal v7 out of the box and had full control over modules and configurations-and in an environment similar to working with full-Drupal installs."
We also want to recognize the two runners up - they also designed beautiful sites and will get a Drupal Gardens package with a Drupal Gardens t-shirt, Druplipet and other goodies.
Roger Ridpath for Photoshop Island

Franco Aguado for Hodesing

Congratulations to our winner - enjoy your new iPad! And thank you to everyone who submitted a site! To see the winning sites and other great sites that people designed for the contest, visit the Drupal Gardens Sampler site.
We're going to start a new contest soon, so stay tuned for the announcement.

Hi, Thank you for choosing me as the contest winner. I'd like to add that Teri Maber is the lead designer and this project and it's beauty would not be possible without her. Teri also designed the Drupal Design Camp Boston 2011 website.

Hi, Just wanted to report that I trained the Ipswich Ale staff yesterday how to edit their content. The staff members, some not technical at all, thought it was really easy and are super excited to keep the site updated. Drupal 7 is amazing and a huge leap from D6 usability.
Cheers, Susan
