Hi!
I have created a page where current information is displayed in 3 views: inside the group (news), outside the group (community), and by date. I used simpleviews and it went together very easily and worked just as I wanted it to....including being able to mark one item with two tags (news and date, for example.) The only problem is that I can't find a way to change out the "tags" field for my own taxonomy term. When we started putting in tags in other content, they all showed up as options to mark on the information items when authoring new content.
The videos on Views are really helpful, and I looked for a default View that I could tweak but didn't find one. I tried starting from scratch with a new View and found it a little too advanced for me at this point.
I would just like to put a taxonomy term in my simpleviews in place of the "tags" field. Is it possible to do this? If not, could ithe simpleviews base be changed to allow a choice between "tags" and "my taxonomy term" when a simpleview is built? If that isn't possible, would you point me tin a better direction?
Thanks for a wonderful product and your continuing attention to our issues.
Peggy
The simpleviews are ppnewsview, ppdateview, ppcommunityview

Hi Peggy,
Thanks for the kind words!
You will need to use Regular Views to accomplish this. Under Admin > Structure > Views, you will see a list of default views that you can use and tweak as needed:

I would suggest using the Taxonomy term View as indicated above.
You might find these Views tutorials by NodeOne very helpful as well.
Hope that gets you pointed in the right direction!
