Hi, I'd like to give Permissions to change node author for any content type the user has ability add, edit, ect. I've given all permissions on "blog" for instance and I still don't see the option for them. Is there some other permission?
Thanks, Susan

Hi Susan,
Try "Administer field permissions" - however, we suggest only granting this to trusted roles only as there are security implications involved.
Let me know how that goes. Thanks!

That doesn't seem to work on

With the editor role given "Administer field permissions"

Can we circle back on this. I want to give this to editors of my site. They are typical role of editor but adding content on behalf of other bloggers. How would I give just this permission?
Thanks, Susan

Hi Susan,
I recreated this scenario on my own test site where I gave the blogger permissions to change the node author to another user and all seemed to work fine.
For your editor role, you would need to go into your permissions and check the 'Execute Change the author of content" box as shown in this screenshot:

That should do the trick, but keep us posted!

So interesting! I don't have "execute" anything in my permissions. I totally would pick that if I saw in my list. Are you working in the same environment as me. I'm I going crazy? I don't see that. I also did a search for "execute" with my browser. Hum.

Hi Susan,
I think the issue might be that site admins don't have several "create content" permissions checked that I've indicated in this screenshot:
https://skitch.com/e-stacywray/g974c/admin-permissions
If after checking those permissions off for the administrator, see if you can then view those "Execute permissions" (in my prior post) by selecting the "Configure node permissions" link as shown here:
https://skitch.com/e-stacywray/g9742/node-the-future-of-cloud-computing-forum
I'm wondering if the site admin has to have proper permissions for those above items so that then you can configure the node permissions that bring you to that "Execute change the author of content" settings page.
Does that make sense?
Then let me know how that works out. Thanks!
