Enabling this feature

To enable this feature as you create your Drupal Gardens website, drag the slider for FAQ to On on the Choose a template page.

FAQ feature

If you enable the feature from the Choose a template page, Drupal Gardens makes the following changes to your website:

  • Creates an FAQ item content type.
  • Creates a basic FAQ page at http://[site_URL]/faq.
  • Adds "FAQ" to the website navigation menu, which links to the basic FAQ page.
  • Creates two sample items of FAQ content.

Adding FAQ questions and answers

Your site has an "FAQ item" content type.

  1. Click the Find content link in your site's gray shortcut bar. You will see two "FAQ item" content items called "Why should I use Drupal Gardens?" and "How would I create my own question and answer?"
  2. Click "delete" to get rid of the samples and make room for your own FAQ items.
  3. Click "Add content" in the shortcut bar, then click "FAQ item".
    • Question - The question will be displayed on the FAQ page.
    • Answer - The answer will be displayed when a site visitor clicks on its question.
  4. Text format - Leave as "Safe HTML" unless you need other markup.
  5. Settings panels - (menu, revision, URL, comment, authoring, publishing) do not need to be changed under normal circumstances. The default settings have been designed with the purpose of this content type in mind. Changing some of these could also have unexpected or undesired results. See the content type settings overview for more information.
