The Testimonials feature allows you to share customer testimonials with your site visitors. They are collected on a page and in a teaser-style block.
Your testimonials page is included in the main site navigation as "Testimonials" and is located at the URL /testimonials (http://[site_URL]/testimonials).
Enabling this feature
To enable this feature as you create your Drupal Gardens website, drag the slider for Testimonials to On on the Choose a template page.

If you enable the feature from the Choose a template page, Drupal Gardens makes the following changes to your website:
- Creates a Testimonial content type.
- Creates a basic testimonials page at
http://[site_URL]/testimonials. - Adds "Testimonials" to the website navigation menu, which links to the basic testimonials page.
- Displays posted testimonials on the home page.
- Creates three sample items of testimonial content.
Adding testimonials
To add testimonials to your Drupal Gardens website:
- In the shortcut bar, click the Add content link, and then click the Testimonial link.
- Enter values for the following fields:
- Title - The title of the testimonials is not displayed. Add something that will help you keep track of what it is when you see it in a list of content.
- Quote - What they have to say about you.
- Author - The author of the testimonial is displayed under their words.
- Affiliation - The company or organization with which the author is affiliated.
- Unless you need additional markup options, keep the
Safe HTMLselection in the Quote formatting bar. - The Settings panels (menu, revision, URL, comment, authoring, publishing) do not need to be changed under normal circumstances. The default settings have been designed with the purpose of this content type in mind. Changing some of these could also have unexpected or undesired results. For more information, see Common content settings.
- Click Publish.
Testimonial display - Simple view
By default, there are two places the Testimonial content type is displayed on your site. Both of these are created by a Simple view. You can see this view by going to Structure > Simple views, then clicking the "Testimonials" Simple view's "edit" link.
- Testimonials page - All published testimonials will be displayed in full, 10 per page, oldest first on the Testimonials page at the URL /testimonials (
http://example.com/testimonials). - Testimonials block - One testimonial will be displayed in the Testimonials block (called "Overheard" by default). Its position and display are controlled on the blocks page at Structure > Blocks.

Deleting testimonials
To permanently remove a testimonial from your website:
Note: If you enabled Testimonials when you created your website, use this procedure to remove the sample testimonials included with the created Testimonials page.
- In the shortcut bar, click the Find content link.
- Select the delete link for a testimonial that you want to delete.
- Click Delete on the confirmation page.
Repeat this process for any additional testimonials you want to delete from your website.
