Hi there,

Regarding MAMP, let's see if we can clear that message first. May I confirm that you:

  • have the correct mySQL username and password configured in settings.php?
  • have the correct database hostname?
  • confirmed the database server is running?

Also, searching your error online at, this might be helpful to you as well:

Hi All,

Trying an export, just for practice, and setting up my Drupal Gardens site on MAMP. Originally, I got the same message as Mayank, but I made the adjustments to the settings.php file Jeannie suggested.

Now on top in pink I get this error:

PDOException: SQLSTATE[42S02]: Base table or view not found: 1146 Table 'drupalgardens.semaphore' doesn't exist: SELECT expire, value FROM {semaphore} WHERE name = :name; Array ( [:name] => variable_init ) in lock_may_be_available() (line 167 of/Applications/MAMP/htdocs/drupalgardens/includes/

And below that, not in pink, I get this:

Uncaught exception thrown in shutdown function.

PDOException: SQLSTATE[42S02]: Base table or view not found: 1146 Table 'drupalgardens.semaphore' doesn't exist: DELETE FROM {semaphore} WHERE (value = :db_condition_placeholder_0) ; Array ( [:db_condition_placeholder_0] => 16669086844effac417ce1f8.60702488 ) in lock_release_all() (line 269 of /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/drupalgardens/includes/

Any guidance would be sweet. Thanks. Tim

Hi Tim,

One place to start if you have trouble installing a freshly exported Drupal Gardens site is the Drupal 7 installation troubleshooting page.

You can also reach out to the Gardens exported site forum. This forum is for you if you are having any issues with your exported site.

Please note that, although Drupal Gardens Support moderators and staff do participate in this forum, it is not part of the official Gardens support offering.

Hope these resources can point you in the right direction.

Best regards,
