It’s been awhile since we’ve blogged, but that’s not to say we haven’t been hard at work improving Drupal Gardens for our thousands of site builders. We’ve added a host of new features since the last update including entity relationships and field collections for managing site content more easily, support for 301 domain redirects for search engine optimization and new Open Graph meta tag options for effectively managing interactions between Drupal Gardens websites and social networks.

Additionally, we’ve deployed many fixes and Drupal patches over the past few months to make the Drupal Gardens service more robust. You can find all the fix/patch info here. Now read on for details on the new features!

  • Create relationships between content, comments, users and more
Use entity reference fields to link a content type, comment, user or any other entity to another. For example, if you want to create a Product Category that lists a related Accessory for each Product, add an entity reference field to your Product content type that refers to your Accessory content type. Learn more. (DG-7406)
  • Add field collections to your site’s content, users and other entities
Use field collections with your website’s content types, users and other entities to capture a variable number of fields. For example, you may want your Music Album content type to contain a field collection of Tracks, where each track includes a track number and title. Now anyone entering an Album can add as few or as many tracks as needed. Learn more. (DG-7403)
  • Maximize your SEO results by telling search engines to only use your vanity domain
If your Drupal Gardens website has a custom domain, you can rest assured knowing that only the vanity domain will appear in search result listings with a simple Drupal Gardens 301 redirect configuration - your Drupal Gardens URL, [sitename].drupalgardens.com, will no longer be displayed in search results. Learn more. (DG-1966)
  • Easily share images with your social networks
Drupal Gardens now supports the use of tokens with the Open Graph image tag so you can quickly share photos or images with social networking sites. Learn more.
  • Gain an understanding of how visitors interact with your site’s content using Facebook Insights
Analyze who is liking and sharing content on your Drupal Gardens site by using Facebook Insights and our new support for the fb:app_id and fb:admins meta tags. Learn more.

Your pricing matrix page is out-of-date / not fully inaccurate. It needs to present all of the additional modules that become available at the Professional subscription level and higher (i.e. Entity Reference, et al.).

It is VERY difficult to figure out what is not available at the Basic subscription level without having to read every blog post and fourm announcement on the drupalgardens.com site.

Thanks in advance.
